Sunday Soul Revue

Evan Taylor Jones (SOUL/ROCK)

Evan Taylor Jones is an eclectic soul-rock artist and singer/songwriter from Orlando, Florida. Born in Inglewood, CA, Jones is no stranger to the struggle that bared his family and the community of people from the area. His voice is truly a revelation of the experiences he’s known growing up. Jones is the youngest of three athletic boys; raised by a single Mother, who he now claims as his Guardian Angel. When Evan was just 13, she passed quite suddenly from lymphatic cancer. From there, Jones began slowly dissecting the classic music he remembered his Mother enjoying. Excelling in high school as a highly scouted basketball player, Evan’s life took a turn after he tore his labrum during District Semi-Finals. While healing from the injury, Jones began his journey with a guitar.

Jeff White and Soul Taxi (SINGER/SONGWRITER)

Soul Taxi was created in 2010 as an alternate outlet for Singer/Songwriter Jeff White. Jeff has toured with ” The Burnin Smyrnans” since its inception in 2002. In the beginning White was fronting the band on vocals and Acoustic Guitar . In 2003 White switched to Bass Guitar and kept his roll on lead vocals to keep the band touring. In 2004 Jeff Supported the Wailers as a Solo Acoustic Act. Two years later he flew back to Vermont with saxophonist Eric Christian to support the Wailers once again. Together their duo has performed over 200 shows since that magical moment they played to a sold out crowd in Killington, Vermont. Later in 2009, Drummer Jeff Carruth had a break between tours and flew home for Christmas, chemistry was felt instantly during a jam session and Carruth never caught his return flight back to Los Angeles.

Kelly Jarrard is a 23-year old singer-songwriter from Stockbridge, GA. Kelly began singing at a young age and by the time she was 13, she had picked up the guitar and started learning very quickly. Soon, she began writing her own music and lyrics and began to take every opportunity to perform live with her guitar and her smooth, soulful voice. With roots in music such as the MOTOWN sound, soul, jazz and rhythm & blues, Kelly has been performing an eclectic selection of hit favorites and soulful original songs at local hot-spots for over four years, drawing eager listeners as her fan base continues to grow. Kelly continues to broadcast her unique talents through acoustic soul and jazz vocal performances, as well as through the media outlets of Facebook and YouTube and at local Open Mic opportunities.
