Trae Pierce and the T-Stones (FUNK/BLUES/ROCK)

Trae Pierce (former Ohio Player and 4-time Grammy winner as bass player for Blind Boys of Alabama)  and his T-Stone Band were big hits at the 2015 and 2016 Tropical Heatwave.  Their funky and fun music brings every audience moving and throwing hands in the air and smiling.  Trae’s funky  band is on fire!  And they all exude personality.  Sporting his signature top hat, Trae, along with his band, the T-Stones, delight audiences with their special blend of blues infused with funk, highlighted by blistering bass riffs, talk box, slide bass and crowd interaction.

The Lee Boys (STEEL/GOSPEL/FUNK/ROCK)

The Lee Boys are one of America’s most celebrated sacred steel ensembles, specializing in a little-known African American gospel music tradition thriving in South Florida. This tradition features lap and pedal steel guitars, a type of guitar played with a bar or slide called a “steel.” From Perrine, FL, this family group consists of two generations of musicians, all of whom grew up in the House of God Church where their father and grandfather performed this tradition. Since coming out of the church to play for new audiences in 2001 The Lee Boys have thrilled audiences worldwide with their sacred sounds, performing alongside musicians such as The Allman Brothers Band, Los Lobos, and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
