Skipper’s agents are trained to ask comprehensive questions of all our clients so that we have a
feel for what the client really expects. We customize each event to meet those specific needs
and budgetary constraints. Booking entertainment is not a black and white job. It requires
careful selection of the proper artist for each assignment. This can make the difference of
the client utilizing our services again and genuinely being satisfied. After 22 years in the
entertainment and service industry we feel we have some advantages over a straight agency.
We book entertainment for our own venue as well as others. Hence we can relate better to the
client. Skipper’s Talent Agency was established in 1994 but Skipper’s Smokehouse has been
providing exceptional entertainment to the Bay area for 22 years and was selected Blues Club
of the Year 2001 by the National Blues Foundation (a Blues Grammy of sorts). Our acts are
“Disney” squeaky clean and we don’t represent anything other than tried and true professionals.
We coordinate our events almost to the point of nausea. Our bands and festival support personnel
as well as actors are provided with comprehensive “Gig Sheets” that cover the job from A-Z and
there are always 2 agents on cell phone alert 24/7. Repeat business is our game! Satisfied
customers effects that end. We strive for that and the fact that our business is growing at
25-30% per year is a testament to the success of our company philosophy.
