The Skipper family lost one of it's favorite mullets,Bartender and entertainer, Jimmy Michaelides died on Monday night, Dec 13. He will be missed by many. I will post additional details when we get them.

I love Skippers. My Ex-boyfriend introduced me to the place and I love it. Now I am single and looking for someone who enjoys Blues and other alternative styles of music and who loves Skippers as much as I do. Skippers is really the only place that I enjoy going to no matter what kind of music is playing. Hey guys, I'm 36, single, 5'8", weight proportionate. Skippers is great. I went there often while I was going to USF in the mid eighties. I fly down to Tampa about every six months. Skippers is always my first stop !! Although I live 800 miles away, I can get from my front door to Skippers in less than 5 hours !!

Skipper's is one of Tampa Bay's greatest cultural assets. Tom White and Vince McGilvra are the unsung heroes of live music in our community. I can't imagine what it would be like to live here without Skipper's.
