{{{{{{{ HUGS }}}}}}} and OH MY GAWD!!!!! I just found your site completely by accident and must have spent the last hour checking it out. It looks like your dream to make the Smokehouse bigger & better came true. CONGRAGULATIONS!!!!!!! I love your "SkipperDome" and all you've done to the place, a talent agency & catering too.....WOW!! Is the "Vicky" that heads up the catering my old roomie?? Tell her hello for me K?
I have thought about the Smokehouse and all of you so many times over the past 20 some years. Hard to believe so much time has gone by. Some of the best times in my life was spent working & hanging out at the Smokehouse for almost three years. What a blast we had....PARTAY ALL NIGHT LONG! Last time I saw ya'll was just before I moved back to California cuz I was pregnant. I knew if I stuck around the chances of raising a kid the way a kid should be raised was grim. I was just having way too much fun and looking back now I know I made the right choice cuz I was pretty out of control with the drugs, alcohol, etc., etc. *wink* Gotta tell ya, I sure as hell don't regret a single minute of it!
That pregnancy ended up being my son, Jeffrey, now 22 and an MP in the Army stationed in Afganistan. I also have a daughter, Jennifer (my little drummer girl!), who is 18 and engaged to be married to a Marine curently in Arizona. They're great kids and my pride and joy! My husbands name is Randy, he's seven years younger than me (ya know how I always went after that young stuff! lol). I used to hang at Skippers every Wednesday and Friday nights 1989-1995, with my mom Christine. Even came out the whole time I was pregnant with Ted Henderson's son the leader of IMPULSE. Knew all the reggae bands from town that have now since split up. Sure miss those great times. Tom don't know if you remember me or my mom, but came out when Uprising was playing. Hey - I hear Ray Wylie Hubbard is coming to Skippers in the Fall, but I just don't see it listed yet??? This was confirmed by a friend of mine who lives in San Antonio and actually spoke to Ray Wylie and he told him that he would be at Skippers in the Fall and was not sure of the exact date... S.C.O.T.S. show a couple weeks ago was fantastic as usual! Took the kids on Sunday for Hat Trick Heroes...what talented group of local kids.
Check out Richard Ray Farrell, he would be great to book at The Skipperdome for a blues show. Keep up the good work.

My first time to Tampa Bay and the highlight of the trip was Skippers Smoke House. Great food, great music and very friendly people. I didn't want to leave! See you again in a few months.

Every trip to Tampa area, we try to stop at Skippers Smokehouse to enjoy a show. We've seen Tinsley Ellis and Tommy Castro. The Be4st show yet was the benefit for Damon Fowler. I have never seen a show of multable bands run so smoothly. The talent was tops. Great job!
