A Night for Anthony D’Avanza – $20 min. sugg. donation

This event is a fundraiser for Anthony D’Avanza ( former chef of Cafe Creole and Selenas) to help defray his mounting medical expenses. This will be an evening featuring performers connected with Anthony’s ventures, including: Wayne Pearson; Dick Rivers; Belinda Womack; Kenny Walker; Denise Moore; Freddy Montes; The Lint Rollers and a few surprise guests!- some trivia: Selena was Anthony’s mother. Selena’s in Old Hyde Park was the “birthplace” of “the Mod Squad”, the band from which The Lint Rollers eventually evolved. The Mod Squad performed weekly at Selena’s for a couple of years and at Cafe Creole for all the special events, Guavaween, Knight Parade etc.
